Here are some changes (that I remember):

• Adjusted starting area to make things more visible
• Chests now have a campfire nearby to help make them more visible
• The first chest also now gives you hints for any remaining chests
• It's harder to get stuck in trees now
• Made it easier to get around the mountain
• Adjusted some terrain paint
• You can now go back to pre-volcano if you fall into the vocano
